It’s September! THE most important fashion month has kicked off and I like to think that after a rather unspectacular summer there is a golden fall waiting for me:-). To be all set for that particular case I have put together a list of things that I just NEED (apart from the red Chanel 2.55 which proves to be a difficult mission…). Be inspired!

Sorry for the silence, guys! It’s been a little hectic these past couple of days…My apologies! The new QVEST issue is out featuring an amazingly beautiful story with Rosie Huntington Whiteley posed by celebrity photographer Rankin. ‘Ten Times Rosie’ is an homage to the British topmodel and her super-versatile looks. I LOVE every single shot! You are probably familiar with Rankin’s work from ‘Dazed & Confused’, which he founded in 1991, and the ELLE UK covers – he did almost all of the recent ones!
After weeks of terrible weather and rain, summer seems to be back in Paris!
The weather forecasts for the weekend look perfect and with Bagatelle re-opening after summer break and a great open air party tomorrow evening by the Eifel tower, things are indeed brightening up.
Enjoy the weekend and this little, oh-so romantic video by Zoe Cassavetas, featuring Louis Vuitton Spring10 pieces. Instant summer mood guaranteed! xx

Hermès is currently trying hard to update its classic, verrry traditional image by infusing it with ‘Cool Girl Style’. Grandma’s silk carrés put together with an eclectic mix of highstreet and vintage? That basically screams for a stylistic clash pushing its interpereteurs, a gang of real CITY girls from NY, Paris, London & Tokyo in this case, to the limits of their mix & match skills. However, the result – presented on an online platform which can be accessed through the Hermès homepage – is fantastic. Easy, fun and authentic. You can basically breath the “summer in the city” flair. And even the iconic scarfs blend in naturally – like true vintage finds. Trust the girls;-)!

Today is Nati’s first day at her new job in Paris! And knowing my beloved Coupine I also KNOW that she’s been searching her closet and every trusted store in the city for the entire past week to find a suit-able outfit. Now with workwear it totally depends on the job and the sector you’re working in. In Nati’s case I would say it has to be chic and professional rather than formal. Which can be tricky! Therefore, I have picked out a couple of fail-safe outfits that seem to fit the bill!
Be inspired, dearest!

Apart from searching for the perfect suit (which can take years) it is probably a smart move to invest in a classic camel coat for fall. I like mixing it with whites and a hat for early fall!

This fall is the first time ever Proenza Schouler publishes an ad campaign and they have done a pretty good job:
Shot by photographer Daniel Jackson, featuring twin models Ann and Kirby Kenny as well as in vogue model Tati Cotliar, who totally rock the label’s look of “preppy gone grunge”.

Watch the behind the scenes video of the shoot here. Also, Proenza Schouler teamed up with experimental filmmaker Harmony Korine to produce a little movie for the collection, which will be airing on their website in September. Get an inside peak on Nowness (my new favourite site for everything fashion and culture!!)

It’s Friday! FINALLY. Here’s my fantasy shopping list for the weekend (on which I was supposed to go to the Locarno film festival but had to cancel because of the disastrous weather forecast!).
Nude tones spiced up with a bright red are my favourite right now even though I couldn’t get myself to try on the Isabel Marant-ish leather pants. They are cool but not for me. I would go for the Céline box bag in chilli red instead:-). Since pointy shoes are making a comeback, the Louboutin ‘Pigalles’ will be a safe investment for fall. Oh and I have to look out for this Aurélie Bidermann ring. Right now, she is the most talented jewelry designer around.
Now looking forward to spend some quality time with my dearest sister.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

May I introduce you to one of my biggest closet treasures? This beautiful beige Céline clutch is an original from the 70′s and luckily found its way into my closet:-). I own very few vintage pieces but the few ones are truly loved! If you should be in Paris anytime soon, try Kiliwatch! They have a great selection of stuff from past decades at affordable prices – even the French Voguettes shop there!
Happy Tuesday everyone!

For years Gucci had disppeared from the ‘scene’ – or at least from the list of brands that were considered cool and influential by fashion’s elite! To me the brand had been a relict from the 90′s that unfortunately had sold a little too well to people whose idea of fashion equals showing off some brands. Maybe the commercial success that came with easily understandable stylistic codes had actually ruined Gucci’s image. And then the global crisis for sure did the rest…No other fashion label seemed so out of place and even inappropriate when the whole world was facing a major economic downturn.

Girls, you HAVE to check out style.com’s fall shopping guide! Why? International Fashion Influencers like Anna dello Russo, Garance Doré and Rachel Zoe reveal what’s on top of their shopping list for the new season and share their favourites in a beautifully edited guide. My personal highlight is Viviana Volpicella’s choice, whose cool Italian style I simply ADORE.

One of Viviana’s picks for fall is this super-cute leopard messenger bag from FENDI. I really can’t wait for that bag to hit the stores! It’s gonna be my fast-track to cool for any plain outfit.

Here’s one of my favourite Viviana outfits. A beautiful lace dress set off with a cool military parka, YSL sandals and the gorgeous Prada plastic clutch. So simple, so cool! Her signature style includes Rayban Wayfarers (I’ve actually never seen her without) and a pop of color.

Viviana Volpicella knows good style;-). Be inspired!

Balenciaga fall 07 is by far my all-time favourite collection!
This morning I was browsing through my inspirations folder and I came across these pictures. There are so many references, which I will be taking up this fall: jodhpur-like trousers, preppy tailored blazers, ethno scarfs, fur…

…stripped shirts with khaki pants and oversized parkas worn over little silk dresses.

I really never get tired of studying the composition of these looks over and over again!

She might seem like a total bitch in MTV’s the city, but Olivia has the most awesome style and is a huge Les Coupines’ fashion darling! Now she is on the cover of ASOS Magazine and once again wins us over with her unique sense of style.

I especially love how she brings in less polished pieces like the Barbour jacket, Converse chucks and some pretty cool hats and mixes them with chic and ladylike staples.
Check out more pics and the behind the scenes video:

Voilà: Mon weekend wish list! Inspired by every blogger’s all-time favorite and one of my personal wardrobe staples: cut-off denim shorts (preferably Levi’s vintage). For early fall I will wear them with a powder toned silk shirt, the new loafers and Chloé-sque retro accessories. So this would be my ideal outfit for the weekend. What’s yours:-)?

A spontaneous trip to Como last weekend turned out to be the greatest idea ever! I enjoyed every single minute. Pure Dolce Vita!
