Due to my Master thesis I have been dealing a lot lately with the use of new media in marketing so I was delighted about this new, innovative project by Burberry. The art of the trench is an online platform, which was created in cooperation with the Sartorialist and which is a fabulous hommage to our all-time favourite piece of clothing. The site shows a great selection of streetstyle pictures of people wearing their trenchcoats across all major fashion capitals. Check it out here, its a great source of inspiration and it’s even possible to upload your own pics;-)

This new project is a brilliant marketing concept and it’s great to see that our favourite bloggers are gaining ever more influence in the fashion industry. On a smaller scale, Lacoste has been working on a similar project together with the Facehunter. So we hope to see more of such work in the future!

As for the trench, Les Coupines just love this most versatile (check out our Summer version of the look) and chicest of all clothing pieces, which is key to each wardrobe. If you are not able to splurge on the Burberry version, there are some other great alternatives by ACNE, Twenty8Twelve and Topshop!

Apologies for not updating yesterday! I really wanted to do this quiiick outfit post before going out for dinner with the girls but then I was on the phone til the very last minute…La Di Da.  Wearing my new TOPSHOP check shirt (it has made its way up to the top of repeated-outfits-in-a-row!) with cigarette leg denims from Blank, old Gucci sunnies and platform pumps.

I like to set off casual pieces like plaid shirts with something more GLAM like this crystal-string-necklace from Urban Outfitters.

Blank denim makes the best jeans right now. They are soft, special and still affordable. Get them here.

Mine have cute zippers in the back. I got these suede platform pumps from Pura Lopez a while back and always thought they were sky-high. Ha,ha. Now they’re pretty average in my shoe closet. For not saying they are like SNEAKERS to me…Fashion is crazy!

I had an awesome time these past couple of days. It’s been warm, sunny and beautiful – just like a golden fall should be. And BTW it’s my favourite fashion season!

Took some pictures down by the harbour with my new photographer;-). He did an amazing job catching the warm glow of the fall light!

Like most fashion-obsessed people I tend to overwear certain pieces. Lately I’ve been wearing this asymmetrical dress from American Apparel non-stop. It’s super-comfy and has the perfect draping at the shoulder. I mostly wear it with a parka so it looks more dressed down.

I finally got my tickets for Paris this fall (one’s for Fashion Week!) and I can’t wait to get on that train. Since my personal fashion summer had been rather american-ized (with lots of cropped denim and casual tees), this fall will be all about the French Chic! The MAGNIFIQUE Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and her effortlessly elegant, sexy way of dressing inspired me to list a few “Paris basics”.
