During the past three years, Hannah’s work has always been quite controversial…especially her last collection, which went way too heavy on snakeskin prints. Despite all, Hannah did a great job at Chloe, so let’s have a look at Les Coupines’ favourites:

This spring’s collection was full of wonderfull ballet references (which are perfectly captured in this video featuring prima ballerina Janie Taylor)…we loved the tulle and pleated skirts, the mix of nude and red, and also those sublime black leather shorts.

Our highlights of past collections include the very vintage-like denim patch work look, those perfect dark green velvet pants with the cute cristal and bow embellished ballet flats and the little silk shorts and scallop appliques from Hannah’s debut collection.

New creative director succeeding power women Hannah McGibbon, Phobe Philo and Stella McCartney, will be Pringle of Scotland’s Claire Waight Keller. We’re excited to see where Chloe is heading next…

Camouflage – it’s the new thing!  Make sure you team this with another trendy pattern (like leo) and lots of chunky jewelry.

Camouflage II - invest in a camouflage print silk dress or bag from Prada’s pre-fall collection. Fail-safe!

One of my daily reads and go-to-blogs for instant outfit inspiration is Columbine Smille‘s blog. Columbine is a Swedish model and stylist and I found her through Freshnet, a Swedish blogger community that involves the likes of Emma Nygren and Carolina Engman. Columbine has that particular, hard-to-find beauty, incredibly long legs (envy!) and a unique way of mix-and-matching designer pieces with high-street buys and vintage finds. Her outfits are always interesting, laid-back and just the right amount of sexy.  I have tried to put together a few “Columbine style staples” for you:-):

Voilà: Mon weekend wish list! Inspired by every blogger’s all-time favorite and one of my personal wardrobe staples: cut-off denim shorts (preferably Levi’s vintage). Just window-shopping! Unfortunately, all shops were closed on Sunday. I will definitely have to come back soon for some serious splurging because Como has the best boutiques!

For me this place holds a lot of memories and emotions as it used to be my weekend escape from Milan’s big city jungle. I tend to get real sentimental everytime I’m there. Lake Como is one of these timeless places that never seem to change.

Since Stella McCartney brought back the snake print (check out her pre-fall collection!), I’ve been wearing this Zara silk number to death. I recently found it on a pile of stuff that I was going to throw away. It has a beautiful ruched cleavage with a little bow. Thanks Stella for “recycling” this trend sooner than expected;-)! Mixed and matched with my new Missoni kitten heels, my Chloé Elsie bag that I got last winter and a vintage belt.

One thing I’ve learned is that EVERYTHING in fashion will come back. In this case: the skinny belt. My mom bought this one like 20 years ago.

Wohooo!!! I just found out that my dearest Coupine will stay in Paris and decided this was totally post-worthy! I guess it’s really important to find a place in the world where you just “fit in”. Not only style-wise or socially. But above all it is about finding a place that inspires you and that can give you energy. And the opportunities to get closer to your dreams;-). I feel like Paris can be all that for Nati. Soo happy!

Former Teen Vogue editor Taylor Tomasi is one of the coolest girls out there when it comes to creative and quirky styling. Plus, she is incredibly pretty in real life. I was truely stunned when I saw her at the Chloe show this week.

Note to myself: I totally need to get myself a pair of glasses similar to hers for this summer. I am crazy about the ones by Linda Farrow for Alexander Wang.
