The weather forecasts for the weekend look perfect and with Bagatelle re-opening after summer break and a great open air party tomorrow evening by the Eifel tower, things are indeed brightening up.

The pink hair trend was spotted on this Spring’s runway shows of Giles, Zac Posen and with some variations also at Proenza Schouler. At first, I was a bit skeptical about the actual wearability of this trend…but now that I saw it on favourite Swedish fashionblogger Carolina , I think its kinda cute!!

Les Coupines just love the Helmut Lang Collection for this Spring…its the right mix of clear lines and edgy prints!

1. Spray ombre silk dress, 2. Cellophane print jersey top, 3. Dry crepe ruched dress, 4. Cotton blend burn-out t-shirt, 5. Crackled leather jacket.

I’m particularly obsessed with the dry crepe ruched dress. Actually, it does not look too special on the picture above. But I tried it on last week at Merci Store here in Paris and it has the perfect fit and a sublime cut-out at the back. So, I’m currently making up all kinds of fancy events, which could justify the investment into this dress. Then again, do you ever need an excuse for a great fitting LBD?!?

…then there is gonna be lots of beige & khaki and flower prints (go Vintage for that look!)

Isabel Marant + Me = Total Love Story

Season after season, I’m a huge fan of  Marant’s effortless and oh so Parisian style! So for next Spring it’s gonna be the sexy Pirate girl look with embellished jackets, hot pink and as always very short dresses. I don’t know about you, but I’m totally digging it !! I know, I know… I’m way behind all the Fashion Week coverage, still I wanted to share some of my favourite London FW impressions…

1. The Burberry Collection for next Spring is simply devine: all the sexy draping, nudes and pastells spiced up with tough leather belts…it all feels very luxe and yet young. Bravissimo, Christopher! Watch the whole show here.

2. THE eyecatcher at the Burberry party was our favourite movie star in the making Emma Watson. She totally rocked the little sparkling frock from the last Burberry collection…no wonder EVERYBODY wanted to snatch a picture of her!

3. Although I kind of missed Luella’s usual girly and quirky vibe (the new collection seems way more grown up and put together), I still like the hair and make-up of that show a lot. Plus, I am really happy to see Ali Michael back in the scene and prettier than ever!

4. Les Coupines just love the leo look for this winter. And no one pulls it off better than the London girls: just add some smokey eyes, a wayfarer and some rock’n'roll attitude to make the leo look work!

5. It would be no real London feeling without our favourite Brit chick Alexa Chung. She always knows what to wear and how to wear it, without looking too perfect and polished. For more great Alexa outfits check out the site of her MTV show.

Time during fashion weeks is CRAZY…it almost feels like being in a race against your blogreader, trying to keep up with all that new fashion material each day. There are so many new pictures and inspirations, it’s total information overload – in a good way! So, while all the attention already shifted to London, I am still catching up with New York! Voila, a few of my personal highlights from NY fashion week…

Proenza Schouler’s runway collection was my absolute favourite. Lazaro and Jack mixed sporty elements, modern tie-dyes, wild prints and very short dresses to create the perfect vision of THE cool girl.

During Fashion Week, streets are usually crowded with über-stylish people. I always love the pictures of former Teen Vogue contributor Taylor Tomasi. She has such a fresh and quirky style with a special twist to each of her outfits. Just take these crazy, sky-high Kenzo platforms she rocks on the above picture.

Lastly, I am totally excited about those loose braids spotted chez Alex Wang. Perfect, effortless hairstyling for the summer.

This picture by Jak & Jil is definitely today’s highlight! I like how it all blends together: Heidi Mount’s dark make-up, the pattern of her Alexander Wang romper, the pops of blue in the background and the tattoo like arm painting kept from the Rodarte show. Speaking of which, Kate and Laura once again managed to create a truely fantastic collection with an incredible mix of materials, lots of deconstruction and an “out-of-this-world” vibe. The first impressions of the new Alexander Wang collection for Spring 2010 really surprised me: here I had  expected yet another grunge inspired collection with lots of black leather and sexy denim. However, Alex turned to a more sporty theme, without compromising his usual sexiness, though. Inspired by his collaboration with the GAP earlier this year, he stayed true to the all-American sportswear spirit. He used lots of khaki and grey, red and white rugby stripes and brown leather, all spiced up with some pretty hot leopard peep toe booties. There was one particular elemenent of his collection, which immediately caught my attention: aviator inspired pieces like an aviator cap, a great jacket and little applications all in caramel-brown leather.

I always had a thing for the aviator look, so I started thinking of how to work the look for the upcoming season already…

The first thing coming to my mind was this great streetstyle shoot by Garance . I love it how the Swedish girl combines the black aviator cap, with a dark green bomber jacket and a cozy scarf to create a perfect autumn version of the look.
