Kate Moss and Terry Richardson starring in a short movie for Mango’s Fashion Show in Paris.
Mango is playing it big those days with a super fancy runway show hosted at Centre Pompidou. Check out the report of the event by Mango’s new it-girl Andy from stylescrapbook.
Let me introduce you to Lorenza, well actually Michele Lorenza Ouellet.
This girl is a fashion model turned…ta-da…winemaker!! Seriously, HOW COOL IS THAT?
Michele produces a blended, dry rosé wine with a wonderfully distinct fruity/spicy note. The grapes are grown on her parents’ vineyard in Nothern California. Lorenza is not only a great alternative to French rosé, but stands out through its fun packaging (yes, above we see a picture of the label) and marketing concept.
I guess we found ourselves the most fashionable drink for this summer ;) You can order it here.
Oh, and this is Michele Lorenza shot by Garance Doré in the middle of her vineyards:
New talent and True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld is officially the new face of Miu Miu.
14-year old Hailee has given proof of an excellent, and above all age appropriate, style! She has rocked red carpets outfits from Marchesa to Prabal Gurung, but it’s indeed Miu Miu, which suits her the best:
To me Hailee and MiuMiu are a lovely match! What do you think about Miuccia’s choice of the new face??
Together with Elle Fanning, Hailee represents a new generation of natural and down-to-earth, young actresses, who have fun with fashion, without overdoing it. We want to see more of that!!!
So technically, it’s not yet summer or not anymore (considering its raining again like hell after a few beautiful and warm early summer days..). Anyways, it’s never too soon to get back into shape and stock on your favourite summer beauty products!
Voila my top beauty picks for this summer:
clockwise:
Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray: THE one and only style product, I use it all year long! But especially during summer you won’t want to miss out on the most amazingly beachy, wavy hair.
Johnson’s Baby Shampoo with natural lanvendar: Forget all the super fancy shampoos…this one will make your hair the most soft and shiney!! It comes with the NO MORE TEARS formula, as well as good, old childhood memories!
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or: This oil from favourite french brand guarantees the perfect summer legs. Nothing more to add…except I wish the products were less expensive outside France.
Essie too too hot: Once in a while (i.e. when the new Chanel polish collections come out) we like to experiment with different colours. But c’mon, if we’re honest there is only RED, a deliciously bright red for summer. This one is from the new Essie collection and comes in a sizzling rich red coral ;)
Rodin Lip Balm: After the best-seller olio lusso, stylist Linda Rodin created a new, highly coveted beauty product: an ultra smoothening lip balm based on natural ingredients only.
Soleil Tan de Chanel: This light bronzing make-up base is one of the best products ever! It creates a perfect sun-kissed look and is worth every cent!
Supergoop Sunscreen whipes SPF 30+: Sun protection was never that easy. Those face and body whipes fit perfectly into your purse and are super practical on the way..get them via Colette.
Kusmi Algotea: Green tea with mint and seaweeds. It’s rich in vitamins and anti-oxidants..in short the perfect wellness drink. However, it has a very particular taste…I say you either love it or hate it ;) So, if you wanna go safe there is always the classical Kusmi detox tea, which is also perfect to make your own, healthy ice tea.
So what are your favourite beauty products for the summer??
Found this fantastic, handmade (authentic Native American craftmanship!) ensemble of necklaces in the most random Navajo Indian accessories store called ARIZONA in downtown Frankfurt (kind of place you’d never expect me to enter). Believe it or not, (and despite ARIZONA being the least fashionable place on earth) this set – it took me the entire afternoon to pull the different components – costs a fortune altogether! And I’m talking Prada pricepoints here.
Sooo, anyone into Najavo Indian jewelry? I take donations. X
It’s not at all easy to find that perfectLWD (Little White Dress)…you know, the one to wear during hot summer days, but which you could also easily pair up with tights and a parka for cold times!
So last weekend in Berlin I finally found THE one LWD from Sandro at Galeries Lafayette. It has the perfect length, a cute zipper at the back and beautiful lace details (and we love white lace this summer!!)
Take some inspirations from favourite blogger Elin on how to style the LWD:
The principle of Mix & Match – my most important style credo btw – got a whole new meaning when I came across Cynthia Smith’s nonchalant way of pairing a mini & maxi bag for the ‘Five days, Five looks, One Girl’ feature on vogue.com (if you’re not familiar with the series, make sure you check it out here!). And since the Voguista’s mint-green mini Chanel and two-tone Céline shopper make such a stylish pair, I’ve decided to put together a couple of suggestions on how to mix XS and XL bags:
Absolutely LOVE the pop-huedmini version of Lanvin’s iconic ‘Happy’ bag! Since it certainly doesn’t fit much of my stuff (close to nothing actually) I would complement it with an oversized classic carry-all from Mulberry. The soft, tan vintage leather leaves the floor to the rasperry pink tone.
Topping my list of must-buy bags is the mini shoulder bag from Valentino’s Rockstud collection. I think it would perfectly work for the office when teamed with this raffia beach tote that easily fits my ballet flats, magazines & a bottle of Evian.
Feeling very drawn to the wristlet trend lately. This black leather Alaia model could be pinched straight from the Olsen Twins’ closets. And since it’s a little too precious to be limited to after-dark occasions, the Kate Mouse print tote bag with black leather straps (exclusive to Liberty!) makes a nice & roomy addition. And we know there’s only one Kate in London, right;-)?
Today, Chloé announced the end of Hannah McGibbon’s contract as creative director of the fashion house.
During the past three years, Hannah’s work has always been quite controversial…especially her last collection, which went way too heavy on snakeskin prints. Despite all, Hannah did a great job at Chloe, so let’s have a look at Les Coupines’ favourites:
This spring’s collection was full of wonderfullballet references (which are perfectly captured in this video featuring prima ballerina Janie Taylor)…we loved the tulle and pleated skirts, the mix of nude and red, and also those sublime black leather shorts.
Our highlights of past collections include the very vintage-like denimpatch work look, those perfect dark green velvet pants with the cute cristal and bow embellished ballet flats and the little silk shorts and scallop appliques from Hannah’s debut collection.
New creative director succeeding power women Hannah McGibbon, Phobe Philo and Stella McCartney, will be Pringle of Scotland’s Claire Waight Keller. We’re excited to see where Chloe is heading next…
