Anna Dello Russo at Dolce Gabbana

In terms of innovation and trendsetting shown on the runway Milan Fashion Week had been rather UNSPECTACULAR. However, the elegance and sexiness shown on the street by Milanese fashionistas amazed me even more. My personal highlight this time: Anna dello Russo (fashion director at large, Vogue Nippon) at the Dolce & Gabbana show. Her daring outfit sums up everything that Milanese fashion is about: classiness, BLACK, playful details & femininity. Aaah and SUNGLASSES! How could I forget…;-).

TOPSHOP check shirt & Blank denims

Apologies for not updating yesterday! I really wanted to do this quiiick outfit post before going out for dinner with the girls but then I was on the phone til the very last minute…La Di Da. Wearing my new TOPSHOP check shirt (it has made its way up to the top of repeated-outfits-in-a-row!) with cigarette leg denims from Blank, old Gucci sunnies and platform pumps.

Last weekend we did our first outfit shoots for this fall, it was a beautiful day and the light was just perfect. While Sarah went for faux fur, I decided to play a bit with forms. So I paired my drop-crotch pants with sculptural shoulders.

I had an awesome time these past couple of days. It’s been warm, sunny and beautiful – just like a golden fall should be. And BTW it’s my favourite fashion season!

Vintage velvet jacket

VINTAGE TREASURE! It really just took me a few stitches to make this beautiful uniform jacket fit my shoulders. It’s an original from the 80′s so of course it has shoulder pads (but they were different back then)! Paired with my favourite pair of slashed skinnies and the new killer-heels it is likely to become one of my favorite fall outfits.

We took a few shots before going out in St. Germain (where else?) on Saturday night. I really had no time to come up with any sophisticated-Paris-worthy-bohemian-style-surprises so I just threw on this dress (it actually has a really cool MARNI-ish zipper in the back!) and my new heels and off we were.

Lakeside

Just came back from a short trip to my favourite spot in the world: Lago Maggiore (a.k.a. THE lake!). Its mediterranean flair and the good old 70′s-glam that has somehow never left make this place very inspiring. Yet it is totally quiet and relaxing unlike other lakes in Northern Italy. We were totally thrilled when we first heard about Burberry’s new face for the Fall campaign: everybody’s darling and STYLE HEROINE in the making Emma Watson. The Harry Potter star is enchanting the fashion world this August, as she rocks the cover of both Elle UK (watch the behind the scenes video here) and Teen Vogue.

I like contrasts. So I was extremely happy when I found this shoulder-padded cardigan/jacket/awesome piece at H&M yesterday. The color is a powdery rose which perfectly sets off the sharp-shoulders and makes it work for late summer days as well as fall.
