Paris Fashion Week has officially kicked off! Highlight of the day: Dries van Noten. Stay tuned for our #PFW adventures;-). Xx
Voila a preview of the new Fall 2011 Isabel Marant campaign, featuring Freja by Mario Sorrenti:
I bet you all remember the most recent – and more commercial – campaigns with Gisele for Spring 2010 and Kate Moss for Fall 2010.
But what about the older ones ?
To me they better represent the true Isabel Marant spirit. Here’s a little trip down memory lane ;)
Spring 2007 with Erin Wasson:
Fall 2007 with Malgosia Bela, by Terry Richardson:
Spring 2008 with Angela Lindvall, by Terry Richardson (I loooved this one!!):
Fall 2008 for the first time with Daria by Lamsweerde & Vinoodh (probably my favourite..):
To me one of the most controversial pieces this summer: the Isabel Marant fishnet tank.
When I first saw it on the runway, I had a total 70′s association and I didn’t like it at all…but I got used to it after seeing it in countless editorials over the past few months (it is indeed the perfect layering piece for summer)…
So lets see how our favourite fashionistas wear it:
Elin pairs it with a plain bra, tight ACNE skirt and a black leather clutch.
Rumi wears it as a dress, with a white tank below, tough boots and a parka.
Kate wears the total Marant look. She also rocked the fishnet top on the Nylon cover of March.
So what do you think? Hot or not?

When sending out his models yesterday at the finale of his fall/winter 2011 show, genius Christopher Bailey built in a little twist: he let it snow and dressed them all in matching black rainboots AND little, transparent raincoats with a black patent trim!!
Such a clever idea, as this little PVC cape is not only incredibly cute, but above all super practical, as it allows you to wear your favourite coat under all weather conditions! I NEED!!
The only problem with this smart creation is the pricetag…but we’re sure the highstreet will be quick to follow Bailey…

The parka has been quite a fashion darling this fall/winter…and now, New York Fashion Week just proved that it is here to stay!! Both on the streets and on the runways…
Joseph Altuzzara showed my favourite interpretation of the look! His inspiration?? Old pictures of Kate Moss wearing a parka over her evening dresses…WE LOVE!
So just throw your parka over a little, silk party frock and voila the perfect outfit ;)
After two last collections, I could not really relate to ( never really digged into the flannel + velvet based “Wall Street gone sexy look” from last winter and the mostly white summer collection), I’m officially back under the Wang spell…I’m crazy about EVERY singel look of his cool girl uniform:
… head to toe black, leather pants + cropped jackets, pops of fur…
…the long, slashed satin skirts (for me the ONLY way to work the maxi skirt trend!!) + heavy knits…
Cara Delevigne and Jacob Young starring in Burberry’s latest Spring campaign.
Yet again the British label manages to create this perfect mix of rock and romanticism.
The brand new Missoni Spring campaign perfectly captures the fashion house’s eclectic and bohmian spirit.
It mixes a cool crowd of people, ranging from family and close friends, like Eugenie Niarchos and Tatiano Santo Domingo, over gossip girl star Leigthon Meester (who looks truely adorable here) to socialits, artists and collectors.
Jil Sander’s second collection for the Japanese high-street giant Uniqlo launches today! And I want everything. Somehow Mrs. Sander always manages to get her clean minimalist chic across and even add a sophisticated touch to high-street basics. Oh and Vogue Paris darling Raquel Zimmermann doesn’t hurt either:-). Nat, can you PLEASE make the queue and get me that camel trench coat???

Maje Lookbook F/W 2010
The Maje F/W 2010 lookbook sums up pretty well what I wanna dress like this fall. Camel blazers & capes, leather, lace, a great classic suit, leo accessories and a dash of bright RED. Perfect. Maje is definitely one of the many things I look forward to seeing in Paris:-).
P.S.: They chose Vanessa Traina to be the face of their new campaign. Seriously, how cool is that?

I only just realized how beautiful Chloé’s latest bag coup -named Darla tote- is when I saw it sitting on the desk of my co-worker. It looks like a more polished version of the trendy satchel bags hanging off the arm of every fashion savvy girl in town now. Plus I fall for black soft-looking leather with golden hardware everytime :-). What do you think, fellow bag lovers?
For me (and all girls like me) with constantly cold feet from September to March these are the IDEAL sandals:-)!

This fall is the first time ever Proenza Schouler publishes an ad campaign and they have done a pretty good job:
Shot by photographer Daniel Jackson, featuring twin models Ann and Kirby Kenny as well as in vogue model Tati Cotliar, who totally rock the label’s look of “preppy gone grunge”.
Watch the behind the scenes video of the shoot here. Also, Proenza Schouler teamed up with experimental filmmaker Harmony Korine to produce a little movie for the collection, which will be airing on their website in September. Get an inside peak on Nowness (my new favourite site for everything fashion and culture!!)
I love the idea of spicing up last year’s simple dark coat with all kinds of military inspired embellishments.
But it also works on the new season’s key piece the Camel coat!
So, better start searching your favourite vintage stores or local flea markets for old brooches and medals to create your very unique military look for this fall.
