If you want to know what Parisian girls dress like right now, just take a look at the October issue of Vogue Paris! It’s all about black & white, a dash of vintage Chanel and – this is new! -sporty elements like track pants, biker jackets and denim.

Tough glamour à la Parisienne: white leather perfecto, chunky vintage jewelry and a black bodysuit. Add a heeled boot et voilà!

I’m really into the idea of revamping a white denim mini (I mean really, this is something I hide deep-down in my closet!) with those Giuseppe Zanotti two-tone pumps and a little black jacket. The golden Chanel chain is obligatory. Anyone who can pull this off?

Oh I almost forgot about this one: the Peter Pan collar. It’s a mega trend here! And it starts spreading all over Europe… Love the idea of accenting a fluffy mohair sweater dress with a golden collar-shaped necklace! Now try to find one…Tss!

An unexpected and truely refreshing choice for the cover of French Vogue September issue: the gorgeous Charlotte Casiraghi.

The other day I was discussing it with Carola and others seem to agree: the “new” Vogue Paris, under the direction of Emmanuelle Alt seems…well, how to put it…it seems quite plain. Don’t get me wrong here!! I love Emanuelle’s work, she is a great stylist and I was always crazy about her editorials! Still, there is something off about the layout of the two latest issues of French Vogue..the font is too basic, everything is just too clean!
With Carine this was different, as she used to clutter the pages with inspiring pieces, sexy details, old pictures and hand-written notes.
I adore this En Vogue spread from December 2005 about the Kate Moss style, featuring Eugenie Niarchos. It is an example par exellence of Carine’s way of doing Vogue:

Ohhh, we miss you Carine!!!!!

Emmanuelle Alt is one of the COOLEST girls out there…so Les Coupines are truely thrilled to have her as new editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris!!
Looking forward to a new year full of creativity and inspirations…GO FOR IT EMANUELLE!

French Vogue’s Masquerade Ball on the occasion of their 90th anniversary is already history! Thanks to Jak&Jil I came across these marvelous pics on icanteachyouhowtodoit.com and picked out a few favourites for you;-)! Bon anniversaire, Paris Vogue!

Freja Erichsen

Les Coupines favourite Leigh Lezark

Vanessa Traina with Alexander Wang – they make such a cute couple, don’t they?

Tyra Banks pulling off the spider web

One of my favourites! I think this is so hippie-esque – definitely quite the vibe for the new season!

And here’s the party crowd! Enjoy:-)!

Jil Sander’s second collection for the Japanese high-street giant Uniqlo launches today! And I want everything. Somehow Mrs. Sander always manages to get her clean minimalist chic across and even add a sophisticated touch to high-street basics. Oh and Vogue Paris darling Raquel Zimmermann doesn’t hurt either:-). Nat, can you PLEASE make the queue and get me that camel trench coat???

May I introduce you to one of my biggest closet treasures? This beautiful beige Céline clutch is an original from the 70’s and luckily found its way into my closet:-). I own very few vintage pieces but the few ones are truly loved! If you should be in Paris anytime soon, try Kiliwatch! They have a great selection of stuff from past decades at affordable prices – even the French Voguettes shop there!
Happy Tuesday everyone!

I love the idea of spicing up last year’s simple dark coat with all kinds of military inspired embellishments.
But it also works on the new season’s key piece the Camel coat!

So, better start searching your favourite vintage stores or local flea markets for old brooches and medals to create your very unique military look for this fall.

One of the most versatile and simple pieces to wear right now is definitely a powder toned chemise en soie. To me, silk shirts are the surprise hit of the season yet totally season-less.
For the très Parisiènne look wear it all buttoned up with fine gold jewelry and a vintage belt (this one’s from Kiliwatch, Nati’s favourite vintage destination!).

A classic silk blouse will soften summer’s utility trend (perfect with khaki shorts!) and solve any pre-fall outfit dilemma while it leaves the floor to statement accessories and fine jewelry. The best brand? Equipment offers classic-cut silk blouses in creamy white or powdery beige at a reasonable price point.

Very ’summer in the city-ish’! The soft shade enhances a summer tan (working on mine right now!) and looks completely effortless when left unbuttoned.

Leave it to Carine & Co to push the limits of aesthetics…Among the recent overflow of too pretty, military inspired editorials, this is the first one I really like, cause it dares to be different and truely fierce.

Can’t wait to hold the actual new issue of Vogue Paris in my hands.

KASIA SMUTNIAK is the face of Armani’s new fragrance IDOLE d’ ARMANI. Just another blonde model from Eastern Europe who landed a fragrance campaign? Certainly more than that! In the current French VOGUE issue she shows us how to pull off a red Armani-leather blazer (used to be on top of my personal list of pieces that can never possibly look good on anyone!): Mix it with a simple Acne tee plus vintage jeans & jewelry et VOILÀ!

The biggest shopping event of the year Fashion’s Night Out is approaching and we can’t wait to get our hands on these fabulous tees, which were especially designed for this occasion…
