Keira Knightley starring as a real “Chanel Superwoman” in the new Coco Mademoiselle movie!
Now here’s a lesson on how to work this season’s COLOR trend the ‘Alexa way’: Minimize the effort and maximize the effect by lifting your winter staples (woolly sweater, black leather leggings, booties) with a pop colored shoulder bag. WOW! It’s so simple…

Bon, it’s official: I converted from being a total opponent of the maxi skirt length (don’t know how many times I prayed to my dearest coupine that I would never wear it…sorry for that!!). And now I TOTALLY love this trend.
How to best wear the maxi length?? Turn to style princess Olivia herself…she is THE proof that even (or especially) petite girls can rock this trend!!
Follow Olivia’s lead and style the maxi skirt/dress with a belt, leather jacket or fur and a hat for a laidback, yet polished style!
Not exactly sure why I’ve been constantly ‘advised’ to get a haircut by different people from my inner circle over the past few weeks… Okay, hair has been looking little trashy-messy here and there but it kind of fits my general mood right now. And -FYI, you long-hair-haters- it’s the new thing to wear your hair XL and a little loose. Here’s some proof I’d like to share with u:
Moody princess hair.
Nef & Nat from TwinFashion are always a great inspiration when it comes to hairstyle. They just got it right!
Ashley Smith, the face of the new T by Alexander Wang campaign, is one of my favourite models right now.
I love her freshness and cool, strong attitude! Check her out in the super bold editorial Snap, crackle and pop for the S/S 2011 issue of Dansk magazine.
The parka has been quite a fashion darling this fall/winter…and now, New York Fashion Week just proved that it is here to stay!! Both on the streets and on the runways…
Joseph Altuzzara showed my favourite interpretation of the look! His inspiration?? Old pictures of Kate Moss wearing a parka over her evening dresses…WE LOVE!
So just throw your parka over a little, silk party frock and voila the perfect outfit ;)
LOVE!
Not just today, but EVERYDAY!

New York Fashion Week has officially started! Feeling really inspired by Vogue.com‘s impressive line-up of ‘key players’ (including everyone from the designers to the models to the nightlife kings) sharing their fashion week essentials in a beautifully photographed story by The Coveteur.

‘I’m very much into a suede pump these days, and this hot-pink pair from Manolo Blahnik amps up any look—and they’re comfortable.’
Gucci Westman, Makeup artist
‘My Chanel bag was a gift from my husband, David, but I picked the color.’
Right now, I just wish/hope/pray I’ll be saying the exact same sentence one sweet day (except for my Chanel has to be tomato red! Ha ha!)
Harley Viera-Newton, DJ
‘I always have Hermès leather gloves because not only do they keep my hands warm, they are also the best accessory ever—two birds, one stone.’
Sarah Brown, VOGUE Beauty director
‘I needed something that could fit invitations, stacks of WWDs, a notebook, perhaps an iPad, and, quite possibly, an extra pair of shoes. Alber Elbaz to the rescue!’
Natalie Joos, casting director and blogger
‘This time of year, it really helps to have a nice, warm coat to run around the city and I recently found this amazing cashmere Céline in baby blue. It has big pockets that hold my cell phone.’
Jessica Sailer, VOGUE market editor
‘A Flip camera black Céline motorcycle jacket for day and night.’
Kate Young, Stylist
‘Givenchy boots: I haven’t worn them yet, but I love them. I’m going to be so tall!’

Ever since starring in Sofia Coppola’s newest movie Somewhere ( a must-see for everyone who loves Sofia’s poetic and intellectual aesthetics), little Elle is one the rise! With her young age of twelve, she is not only stunning in the role as protagonist Cleo, but has also given proof of an excellent fashion sense. She even made it on the cover of the December/ January issue of favourite French fashion magazine Jalouse.
Elle was shot for a really cute editorial, which is not only beautifully styled, but above all refreshingly age-appropriate (which is most of the times quite tricky to achieve …)
The brand new Missoni Spring campaign perfectly captures the fashion house’s eclectic and bohmian spirit.
It mixes a cool crowd of people, ranging from family and close friends, like Eugenie Niarchos and Tatiano Santo Domingo, over gossip girl star Leigthon Meester (who looks truely adorable here) to socialits, artists and collectors.
Sorry for not updating more often, guys! But I am a working girl…;-) So this post is dedicated to the place I spend most of my time at: le desk.
I found these pics in the amazingly beautiful Rue Mag. The second issue recently came out and I LOVE every single page. It just boasts with inspiration!
I definitely need an inspiration board. It would be overloaded with the most random snippets after just one week though…
What does your desk look like? It deserves to look just as pretty as your closet;-)!
This would be my ideal conference room! A pleasant, inviting place where everyone can just pop in and join the conversation;-). Creativity should start here.
Have a good Friday everyone!

Currently lusting after a a leo faux fur coat that will add some boldness to my everyday chunky-knit-and-denim-shirt-combo. No worries, dolls! I am a classic girl, I can totally handle a fair dose of trashy-ness;-).

Sexy with your XL hair down like Lily Donaldson.
À la Parisienne with your parka effortlessly slung over your shoulders. Perfect! I mean we don’t want our expensive COATS to fall off and get lost forever…Read more here.
Accessorized with tan leather pieces like a polished Chloé bag or wrap-around bangles for a nice contrast. Works all the time!
Rough-looking – the ultimate in effortless cool. It admittedly takes a bit of courage to tear up your military shirt at the shoulders – for fashion pros only!
The cute way – with a cozy hooded parka, a matching full skirt and those Chloé booties from F/W 2009. Just gorgeous!
Camouflage – it’s the new thing! Make sure you team this with another trendy pattern (like leo) and lots of chunky jewelry.
Camouflage II - invest in a camouflage print silk dress or bag from Prada’s pre-fall collection. Fail-safe!
Will do an edit on which pieces are worth buying into but need to do a store-check first!
Promise to be back soon for more;-)!

Hotel Amour, Paris on a Sunday in May.
Have you ever been? If not, this is definitely one of the must-see places for your next Paris trip! It’s a very special place. In every sense.
Nati checking in.
Et voilà! The best-ever breakfast I had in Paris / France in general. They even have a terrace with a little garden (which TRUST ME can be very calming after a weekend packed with shopping, running around town and partying!). I remember that I loved the atmosphere at Hotel Amour. And the delicious croissants :-).
More Paris pics coming soon! I am so ready to go and search for new inspirations.
Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!
