grey suit the sartorialist

Today is Nati’s first day at her new job in Paris! And knowing my beloved Coupine I also KNOW that she’s been searching her closet and every trusted store in the city for the entire past week to find a suit-able outfit. Now with workwear it totally depends on the job and the sector you’re working in. In Nati’s case I would say it has to be chic and professional rather than formal. Which can be tricky! Therefore, I have picked out a couple of fail-safe outfits that seem to fit the bill!

Be inspired, dearest!

camel coat and YSL bag

Apart from searching for the perfect suit (which can take years) it is probably a smart move to invest in a classic camel coat for fall. I like mixing it with whites and a hat for early fall!

The trenchdress! Perfect. Got nothing to add!

wool coat and satchel bag

Team your cute print dress from summer with a check coat, tights and booties for a smart office outfit. Add a hat and a great satchel bag (this one’s a Proenza Schouler PS1!) to round off the look!

jacket and boyfriend jeans via the sartorialist

Always a fail-safe combo if you work in creative industries: a pair of boyfriend jeans with socks, sandals, a blazer and a voluminous scarf! This is exactly what I am wearing on my ‘not so innovative’ days :-).

miroslava duma

This is a very old shot of Miroslava Duma – one of my favourite style icons! She is wearing her great suit with a simple tee and retro geek glasses that make her look super-smart!

clutch and camel coat

A clutch and sweatpants for work? YES, you can! The large daytime clutch and heeled booties add a sophisticated touch to an otherwise simple outfit. It’s cool and unexpected – but better save that for your Fridays;-)!

Have a good start into the new week everyone!

xoxo
