I’ve been flirting with these babies for the past couple of days. They are the new YSL Tribute 105 pumps in a beautiful cognac suede (sooo my color!).
Now the question is should I go for them despite their delicate material and the slightly uncomfortable KILLER heel? Or should I wait and see what kind of shape (pointy – that’s for sure!) the new season will bring and which other tempations will come my way in F/W 2010? Let me know what you thing, fellow shoe lovers;-)!
I finally found the YSL arty ring, which I have been craving for soooo long!
After being sold out forever, it miraculously resurfaced in Paris…in my favourite colour and in my size!!! So although it is technically last season (ok with YSL, there can never really be a “last season”), I had to get it immediately. This is gonna be my very favouritesummer accessory, next to this oh-so ParisianVintage scarf, I got a Kiliwatch this weekend.
Last week the firstretrospective ever on the whole work of YSL opened in Paris. The exhibit is presented by the Pierre Berge – Yves Saint Laurent Foundation and le Petit Palais in Paris. It comprises over 300 creations and is a true hommage to the master of fashion. A MUST SEE for all fashionistas!
So, if you come to Paris before the end of August make sure you don’t miss it! As for me, its already on my agenda for next week!
All the fashionable Paris crowd gathered yesterday in front of Colette, to snap one of the highly coveted, strawberry-print YSL bags plus manifesto. It was a real fight and they were out in no time…
Among all the fashionistas lining up on Rue St. Honore, these two young ladies were definitely the coolest:
These two mini-fashionistas were totally into fashion brands and had already gotten the YSL manifesto last season (!)…too cute. So I could not resist taking a pic with them.
After the stressful hunt, I just had to take my bag out for a little walk in the sunny Tuileries garden…
In a bit, I’m gonna start my hunt for the YSL Manifesto here in Paris (its the perfect sunny weather for it!!). I’m gonna strategically position myself at the distribution location near Colette, to do lots of stylish people watching! So stay tuned!
For a long long time now, I have been craving the YSL arty ovale ring. It is the perfect accessory to spice up each look. Just wear alone or pile them on, like the fashionable lady above from 4th and bleeker…
For years we had been carrying the heavy weight of those overpriced, overly decorated IT-bags and it seems as if the phenomenon just had a revival with the much-anticipated Alexander-Wang Mini Duffle bag that sold out in no time. For those of you who want to take it easy this fall here’s an eco-friendly (and comparably cheap!) alternative: the canvas shopper. We picked out these three beautys:
So the leo’s back AGAIN for fall. Only this time without the Dolce-Gabbana-boldness and much cooler! Queen Isabel (Marant) showed a new leo-look paired with black rather elegant jackets and studded booties.
Voilà, some of my favourite summer looks! As with Carola, my colour palette is rather neutral with lots of black, white and grey…spiced up with some pops of gold. This summer I practically live in my jeans shorts, which I dress up with a blazer and heels or down with my favourite Miu Miu gladiators and a simple tee. Did I mention that I spent most of the time searching for the perfectly fitting white t-shirt? Sometimes, the simple things are the hardest to find…!
Not sure if it’s still the influence of my Milanese summers (all jet-black and dressed up despite a billlllion degrees outside!) or maybe just the fact that summers aren’t what they used to be: the color palette of my favorite summer pieces is clearly not summery…BUT I have a sort of Scottish tan going on so anything brighter than “greige” would just look ridiculous anyways (I figured)!
